We support you in two ways, depending on what you need:

Staff & team augmentation 2.0
You keep delivery control in-house. We place pre-vetted Brightbox Associates into your teams on time and materials, aligned to your tooling, standards and ways of working, so progress shows up quickly and predictably.
Project / outcome-based partnership (via our ecosystem)
When you need end-to-end delivery ownership, we select the right pre-vetted consultancy partner from our ecosystem, partners we’ve worked with before. They run delivery against your specifications, with clear governance, clear owners and accountability, and transparent reporting throughout.
FAQs
Delivery models
Are you staff augmentation or outcome-based delivery?

Both, but not at the same time. Most engagements are staff and team augmentation, where your leadership owns delivery and outcomes. When you need outcome ownership, we introduce a proven delivery partner from our ecosystem who assumes delivery responsibility end-to-end, under a defined governance model.

Who runs delivery day to day?
  • Augmentation: You do. We embed Associates into your environment, your processes, and your delivery cadence, so they operate as part of your team from day one, with Brightbox supporting alignment and continuity.
  • Outcome-based partnership: The selected consultancy partner runs delivery end-to-end, with defined governance, clear owners, and transparent reporting. Brightbox remains involved to maintain standards, ensure clarity stays intact, and keep delivery on track.
What roles and technologies do you cover?

Across six capability domains, spanning the disciplines modern delivery depends on:

  • Software Engineering

  • Data and Analytics

  • AI and Automation

  • Cloud and DevOps

  • Product and Delivery

  • QA

  • UX/UI and Service Design

If you are unsure what you need, we can help you shape the brief. That includes clarifying the role boundaries, seniority, delivery expectations, stakeholder context, and what success looks like in your environment.

What does “delivery control” actually mean in practice?

It means you set the roadmap, priorities, definition of done and decision-making. Associates integrate into your tools and ways of working, and you retain direct oversight of outcomes. Brightbox supports quality, alignment and continuity so delivery stays predictable, communication remains clear, and risks surface early rather than late.

How do I choose the right model?

Use practical guidance, not theory, and choose based on where ownership needs to sit.

Choose Staff & Team Augmentation 2.0 if:

  • You need capacity quickly.
  • You have delivery leadership in place.
  • You want full control of backlog, priorities and technical decisions.
  • You want to scale up or down without long hiring lead times.
  • You want people to integrate into your tooling and delivery rhythm with minimal onboarding drag.

Choose Scale-up Delivery if:

  • You need a team that can ramp quickly.
  • You want delivery assurance with clearer structure and oversight.
  • You need pods or squads that can operate at speed inside your environment.
  • You want consistency of roles, ceremonies and delivery cadence as the team scales.

Choose an Outcome-Based Partnership via our ecosystem if:

  • You need end-to-end delivery ownership.
  • You want a partner accountable for delivery, not just effort.
  • You want clear governance and a defined delivery model from day one.

You want a delivery team that brings its own management structure, reporting rhythm and accountability, aligned to your specifications.

Are non-UK Associates contractors?

Typically no. Outside the UK, Associates are commonly permanent employees of trusted partners, not anonymous freelancers. That means stable teams, stronger continuity, and clearer accountability, with Brightbox standards applied throughout the engagement.

How fast can you mobilise?

In days, not months, for many roles and teams. Speed depends on role complexity, clearance requirements, interview availability, and the delivery context you provide. The clearer the brief, expectations and environment, the faster we can shortlist and deploy, and the faster value appears in delivery.

What do you need from us to move quickly?

A clear outcome or brief, the context your teams operate in, and how you make decisions. The most helpful inputs include:

  • Role scope and priorities

  • Tooling and tech stack

  • Working pattern and time zone constraints

  • Interview process and availability

  • Security or compliance requirements

  • Start date expectations and onboarding approach

  • Success measures, including what “good” looks like in your environment, so we can match properly and avoid wasted cycles
FAQs
Client management
How do you engage?

We keep it simple and fast, while protecting quality and fit.

  • You share a brief and delivery context.

  • We source and pre-vet best-fit Associates.

  • You interview and approve.

  • We deploy and onboard, aligned to your tooling, standards and delivery rhythm, so value shows up quickly and expectations stay clear.

Where can you provide Associates from?

UK, EMEA (including Central and Eastern Europe), Asia and LATAM, with consistent standards and a unified Brightbox experience. We design engagements to be practical for time zones, collaboration and delivery cadence, not just coverage on a map. Where location choice impacts speed, cost or risk, we will make that trade-off explicit rather than leaving you to guess.

Who owns the IP?

You do. The client owns the IP created under the engagement. We structure engagements so ownership, confidentiality and usage rights are clear from the start, aligned to your policies, and understood by everyone involved.

Do we need to supply equipment or handle onboarding?

Not by default. We support onboarding as part of the engagement and align Associates to your environment quickly. If your organisation requires specific equipment, access controls or provisioning steps, we work with your process and keep it frictionless, so onboarding does not become a delivery blocker.

Are there minimum commitments?

No minimum headcount, take one person or build a team, and no minimum contract length, with a two-week notice period for scaling down. That means you can respond to changing priorities without being locked into unnecessary cost, and you can adjust as delivery needs evolve.

What if we need to replace someone?

If a replacement is required, we support a smooth transition. We protect delivery momentum by managing handover properly, and we cover cost during the knowledge transfer period so you are not paying twice to stand still. We also use replacement moments to tighten the brief and improve fit, so the next deployment is stronger.

How do you handle performance and quality during the engagement?

We do not place and disappear. We run ongoing quality and performance check-ins, keep expectations aligned, and surface risks early. This is part of how Brightbox protects delivery confidence, keeps stakeholders informed, and maintains delivery pace when priorities shift.

FAQs
Associate management
How do you vet Brightbox Associates?

We select carefully and validate continuously. Every Associate is evaluated for:

  • Technical expertise

  • Professionalism and communication

  • Ability to deliver measurable business impact

  • Real delivery experience under real constraints, not just theoretical skill

We also validate how people work in practice, including collaboration, stakeholder management and decision-making under pressure, because these factors determine whether delivery stays predictable.

How do you ensure Associates integrate quickly?

Fit comes first, then alignment. We match for technical and cultural fit, then align the engagement to your tools, operating rhythm and delivery expectations. That reduces onboarding drag and helps value appear quickly, not weeks later, while keeping communication clean and governance clear.

What does Associate support look like during an engagement?

Ongoing, not occasional. We run regular check-ins and quality reviews, maintain clarity across expectations and outcomes, and intervene early if something is drifting. The goal is consistent delivery, not reactive firefighting, and fewer surprises for delivery leaders and stakeholders.

How do you keep quality high over time?

Through continuous evaluation, upskilling in emerging technologies, and a supported ecosystem model. Capability must keep pace as the market shifts, and we back Associates who stay future-ready, so the quality you see at the start of an engagement is maintained throughout.

Are Associates anonymous freelancers?

No. Brightbox Associates are approved experts within our ecosystem, supported by our team and technology to uphold consistent standards and delivery confidence, with clear expectations, clear accountability and ongoing alignment.

FAQs
Fractional CTO
When should I introduce Brightbox?

When your client needs capacity quickly, is blocked by hiring lead times, needs specialist skills short-term, or wants the flexibility to scale up or down without committing to permanent headcount. You can also introduce us when delivery pressure is rising, timelines are fixed, or internal teams need reinforcement to avoid burnout, missed milestones and stakeholder confidence drift.

What exactly do you do in one line?

We provide an on-demand Liquid Workforce of pre-vetted UK, nearshore and offshore Associates on flexible day rates, deployed into client teams in days, not months, with continuous alignment to protect quality and delivery outcomes.

Are you outcome-based, do you run delivery?

Not by default. Our core model is staff augmentation, your client retains delivery control. If your client needs outcome ownership, we select a trusted consultancy partner from our ecosystem to run delivery end-to-end, under a clear governance model with defined accountability.

What is the commercial model?

For augmentation: time and materials, daily rate per Associate, two-week notice, no minimum headcount and no minimum contract length. This keeps commercials simple and reduces friction when priorities change, while still maintaining clarity on expectations and delivery rhythm.

What if someone is not the right fit?

If a swap is needed, we support a smooth transition and cover costs during the knowledge transfer period. The objective is to protect delivery continuity, reduce disruption, and keep stakeholder confidence high, even when the environment is moving quickly.
