Brightbox, the global provider of on-demand tech skills, has been awarded a Gold medal in the EcoVadis sustainability rating and has achieved Cyber Essentials certification.
Gold places Brightbox in the top 5% of companies rated by EcoVadis worldwide, across environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. Cyber Essentials is the UK government-backed cyber security standard owned by the National Cyber Security Centre, certified for Brightbox by CyberSmart.
Both sit on the governance side of the Liquid Workforce model. Deploying skills in days rather than months only creates value if the governance behind it holds, and independent assessment is how Brightbox evidences that rather than asserts it.
Brightbox works with software solutions providers, digital consultancies, systems integrators and enterprises, providing global talent to help deliver transformation programmes. Much of that delivery is led by UK associates with consulting and professional services backgrounds who join the client’s own team, either remotely or on-site.
The EcoVadis rating also supports clients’ own reporting, from Scope 3 emissions to modern slavery statements and social value commitments in public sector bids. Where UK teams are supplemented through nearshore and offshore engineering capacity, Brightbox remains the single contracting party.
Stuart Houghton, Founder and Chief Executive of Brightbox, said: “Clients are right to ask how a supplier runs itself before engaging and we would rather answer that with an independent assessment than a policy document.”
Martin Smith, Operations and Delivery Director at Brightbox, said: “The practical benefit is time. These credentials evidence up front what would otherwise be assembled for each bid and each engagement.”
